October 30, 2021A staff member enrolled in their final year of study towards a recognised ECE teaching qualification can be counted towards the 50% licensing requirement, but cannot be counted as ‘certificated’ for funding Staff Hour Count purposes.
There are two types of staff requirements.
- Regulatory requirements
- Funding requirements
Teachers in their final year study can be included to meet 50% regulatory requirements, however their time cannot be included on Staff hours count as qualified staff hours.
